About Ben

Ben Tomlinson is a Young Adult author based in London, England. His debut novel Loverboy was published by Andersen Press and longlisted for the Waterstones Children's Book Prize 2026. His second YA novel, The Party, is published by Andersen Press in July 2026.

Ben is a graduate of Sussex University and holds a Creative Writing MA from the University of East Anglia. He worked for many years as a theatre facilitator, leading workshops and directing youth theatres with young people of all ages — experience that now informs his lively, hands-on approach to school visits and creative writing workshops.

When he is not reading and writing he loves watching football, street-dancing, people-watching and exploring London.
